    Not the first fic where Jazz is a 'reformed' Decepticon, but one of the better written ones - and one that remembers while it may be easy to escape the violent filled base, that doesn't mean the capability to DO violence is gone: merely subdued and controlled for better outlet.

    Misplaced Anger/Agression is not what the 'bots want ... but for some mechs, being physically punished (not just brig time nor diminished energon/high grade or lack of other privileges), is the only way they learn that their behavior is unacceptable.
    While I might feel sorry for C.J., he's being the aggressor here, and Jazz is certainly right to protect his own ... just not at the cost of Cliffjumper's spark as an example to other mechs that might be harassing Mirage. I guess I'll have to see what acceptable/justifiable punishment the third-in-command has in store for one who would try offlining one of the Special-Ops crew.
    Then again, with one act, CJ's gotten all the spec-Ops mechs both wary of him, and out for energon.

    Than's for remembering that being an ex-Con, Jazz isn't automatically the nice guy he portrays - and sometimes, he needs reminding that as the THIRD-In command, his example carries a lot of weight, wether his actions would be caught or not.
