The CSEM and CSAM attacks that happened 2x in the past 2 years to the volunteers of the OTW were handled poorly and several PAC members both current and former had whistleblown about the fact that they feel like the Legal team does not properly report the material or protect the volunteers that moderate it. This included several other high-profile members who moderated or founded other fandom social media platforms explaining that the OTW does not properly protect volunteers who are exposed to CSEM and CSAM at their jobs. The OTW also ended up accusing and without warning removing azarias (PAC volunteer at the time) who was falsely accused of being behind the spamming and threats.
The board have since apologized for the false allegations but have not explained their policies on how they will improve on protecting their volunteers should another doxxing threat or illegal material spam were to happen. They are also not up to industry standards for both reporting an ticketing this content for removal.
