Scott needs all the love he can get so the more for him the better. Scott's had a lot of trauma in the past and I got to thinking about it as in this fic Steve also tends to want to cook things for him. It didn't hit me right away, but even with the past Steve/Bucky stuff in the comics Bucky was also an orphan that Steve took under his wing and I think there's that nurturing side of Steve that wouldn't outright question Scott about his trauma but inherently picks up on it knowing what he does about Scott's past and wants to take care of him in a lot of ways beyond their sexual relationship that's forming. It's about doting on him in a lot of ways for sure and making him feel good.
Scott absolutely has so many links and loyalty to Charles that I don't think he's aware how to reach for his freedom and independence though I'm sure Steve can help him in exploring that. I've been enjoying the different side of Steve as well. The man who is really there beneath the Captain America shield and I feel like pairing him off with Scott brings that out in him for sure!
Jean's young and obviously exploring her options in life as Scott is and while there's totally nothing wrong with poly, I think Scott's working to figure out what he wants and sort out his own sexual identity along the way. He isn't as hurt as he anticipated he'd be over Jean needing time to figure her own feelings out for what is right for her and I'm sure that's part of Steve's presence in his life. Steve's absolutely given him other ideas of what could be and that's been fun for them. LOL Bobby's young and still figuring it out too and has a lot of growth ahead of him as well as he goes. I agree the sex shop worker was in the wrong business for sure because instead of judging them she probably could've guided them into something that was more appropriate or just rang Scott up without silently judging him.
LOL Tony as deliberately being an asshole because he could and he was having fun with it, but little does Tony know what's going on behind the scenes there. He has no clue that Steve's not just lecturing the X-Men on behaving, but that there's something much more happening there with Steve/Scott in fun, sexy ways. I always get a kick out of tossing in the Avengers sex toys in there for a laugh. I wrote a WinterIron fic once where Bucky had a crush on Tony and ended up buying one and lol, it just felt like a fun nod to toss it in there because let's be honest if Tony was in charge of marketing you know it would be a thing no matter how much it would annoy Pepper lol.
LOL now see with Scott being a size queen if he's dating people like Logan and Captain America in the fic world, then I'm guessing it speaks for itself there lol, but since here he's at the beginning of his sexual discoveries Steve's probably thinking that a slow start will make for a much more pleasurable introduction to things, but yeah Scott being into Logan says a lot about that.
Steve as a dom is a lot of fun to write and hopefully this will prove to be an interesting experience for them. Steve's very patient in their beginnings and along the way they'll both find ways to unlock pleasure for and in each other as that's the goal for htem I hope lol.
