“Badd, I think this case might be the death of me.” I audibly GASP! Oh Gregory if only you know.
I like how he still thinks about Miles before he downed the brandy. Gregory is the best dad. I also like how perceptive he is, how he noticed this case is starting to affect their personal life and his mental health. He knows there's something more going on with this case and unfortunately it did become the death of him.
“The only one worth a damn.” That got me good. Honestly, I feel like Gregory is the only little hope of pure justice that Badd had and that died along with Gregory.
The really enjoyed how you write their dynamic. It feels so natural like I can see this happening. I also like how this is like a pre-relationship and I can feel them coming closer but also needing distance.
