Comment on The Wanderer Who Came Not Back

  1. This is really, really good! I love the way that you tied the ages of middle earth together in this chapter. Aragorn, the distant descendant of heroism from the first age, meets a fallen son of Feanor without even knowing. Like, buddy, the ‘messenger’ probably wrote that song. I wonder how Sauron felt when Maglor just walked up to him and offered his service. That probably felt like his best luck since…idk…not getting thrown outside the world along with Morgoth.

I also loved how the second scene ends with Aragorn beginning to speak. Maglor has always been a messenger and a singer, but he isn’t the only one that can inspire people. The age of elves is ending but there are men to take their place. Overall this fic rocks!

    1. Thanks for the comment! In my mind Aragorn's song is one that Maglor wrote for the twins. And Aragorn is such an inspiring figure– I had to end the scene with him getting ready to make his amazing speech before the Black Gate.
