    Hey JordannaMorgan,

    there's no need to make this a choice somewhere in the preferences, the skin system works perfectly for that. Just go to your userpage -> Skins -> Create Skin, enter a title and the following line of code:

    ol.thread div.icon { display: none; }

    If you are using a skin different from the default skin, you need to add it as a parent skin. Click on "Advanced" and scroll down to "Parent Skins". Type in the name of the skin you are using and click on "Add Parent". That's all! Click on "Submit", go back to "My Skins" and click "Use" on the skin you just created.

    I have only tested this with the default skin and my favorite skin, but I guess it should work with all skins.
