Oh boy this is so good, I super love the element of them interacting only through voice and tone and sound here. They've already got their preconceived notions about how the other is doing, whether it's accurate or even whether they're individually aware of the nuances as fact or supposition.
It's so lovely to see the extremes of surety in the frame of an existing worldview. Jackie not being impressed by sex, the resentment coloring Shauna's replies; and then the greys everywhere else in terms of Jackie's mom and the way Jackie is haunted by a multitude of things.
