Sorry it took so long to leave a comment but it took a while to have enough time (and energy) to read this chapter. I'm glad I did though because this was amazing!
Yuma scaring Yakou with his flare was hilarious 😂 and I'm wondering what Halara and Vivia are thinking when it comes to Yuma.
And Yuma's past.... Bloody hell he's been through a lot. Still, I'm excited to see where this goes!
Makoto and Yuma are finally about to meet properly and it's gonna be interesting 🤔
Thank you for taking the time to read and enjoy this chapter! It is a pretty hefty one so it is understandable.
As much as I love Yuma for being pathetic (affectionate), I can't help but find some missed opportunities for him to react more emotionally to what Yakou or what the rest of the NDA say to him. He is capable of being more emotionally charged but I feel like it was only reserved for more intense scenes... so I decided to make one leaning to a more comedic side (to be fair, Yakou still thinks Yuma's human and not a dog-hating Kitsune). Knowing Halara and Vivia, they definitely have some suspicions about Yuma being "human" but only time will tell if Yuma will reveal his true self.
Glad to see Yuma's dream of his past was able to make an impression. I was a little hesitant on how much I wanted to add considering the implications of what was happening with his family and the ominous lore (foreshadowing even?) but I won't say anything too much else because I liked how it came out in the end. Yuma still has a lot to process either way, poor little guy.
Ah yes, the moment we've all been waiting for! I'm pretty excited to finally get to this part in the story... I do wonder what parts will change though.
