Initially, when I first had the idea to explore how the nature of the Abyssal Eye could affect the Night Crow's experiments--and from there, Prince Chi's plans--I thought it could be an interesting set-up for some Zombie!Jin Wei/Jin Yan smut. Needless to say, this fic has very much taken on a life of its own since then 😸
