Samus nods at that, turning and opening the door. Walking through it, I see a tree in the corner of the room. The roof had a large hole, sunlight pouring through it. I froze upon seeing the ceiling. Hives. A LOT of hives. Samus seems to have seen me freeze and looked where I was looking.

it just occurred to me... Ruby must have continual problems with pollinating insects. she wears the vibrant red of her namesake and her aura produces rose petals she likely has a strong natural scent of Roses about her constantly. jsut how many Bees Wasps and other insects have mistaken her for an actual if huge Rose? XD
Okay, sure, why not? Animals evolved to explode. What's next, they're immune to ranged weapons?
funny thing is there is an actual species of Ant in Malaysia they call the 'suicide ant' they are known for intentionally exploding themselves to douse enemies in toxic fluids.
