In regards to the beaded necklace, it has significance and meaning for sure, and I can not wait to see if you pick up on the dominos that were set in place for the final show of them all dropping regarding it.
As you know; Charlie firmly told Kevin to use her; but it doesn't mean it still wouldn't get to her - her emotions are volatile and Kevin & Cassie have no real idea if she could lose control.
Devising the argument was challenging, but once they got going.. they carried this chapter for me - I barely ever had to steer them back on course - it's a writers dream - when the characters pretty much just need you to transcribe their feelings.
It was a long debate to include actual lyrics or have her think them while the reader understands she is singing - Vaggie's original lines only needed a slight change to reflect how Kevin found her, made her feel safe in a place she's never been and yet it still fit the musical notes. (I do love playing with lyrics).
But while this scene was a joy to write - writing them getting drunk together, was much more fun!
