It's strange that I never thought about how disturbing it was that Bruno lived in the walls. I guess it was because it's hard to imagine that Bruno isn't a victim when he apparently did nothing to defend himself from the villagers and instead of getting angry about what his family said about him, he wanted to apologize. At least I think I'm not the only one because in the other fanfics I've read similar to this one, the madrigals are more horrified by what it meant for Bruno's physical and mental health to live a decade in the walls.
