    Daisy this was utterly utterly fantastic, there are tears in my eyes right now. First of all, I absolutely *love* Cassandra’s inclusion in this fic, I adore all of your headcanons for her, so that was a truly lovely detail. Everyone’s little families actually, Charles and David’s interactions and the little shades of Emmoira were all delightful too

    And then the main event, be still my beating heart omg. Edie ‘professional cutie pie’ Lehnsherr just improves everything always with her presence alone, I adore the way you wrote her, and Charles too - fantastic dialogue all over, so much vulnerability from Charles I swear I wanted to give him a fucking hug too jfc. ‘This is Charles, I’ve adopted him’ is just beyond precious, and Erik’s absolute non-reaction to it makes me think this happens a lot, which is absolutely delightful to think about. Love the way you wrote Erik too, so much incredible edge to him in such a short span of text. You really captured everyone so perfectly in this fic, I am in love

    And then that final little scene at the rehearsal dinner - ‘welcome to the family’ brought tears to my eyes, and god yes to erik in drag for the occasion, that’s such a beautiful image.

    Honestly this entire fic just radiates pure love, it’s so soft and sweet. I am so so beyond happy to have inspired it, and so thankful to you for gracing us all with this masterpiece <33

      I had to include my girl Cassandra! I always feel so bad that I started so many of my current fic projects without factoring her in 😂 i guess that's how it is when a new character gets thrown into a fandom, takes a little while. David is my favorite little disaster child 😂

      Edie is such a cool character. she kind of reminds me of like how people in the marauders fandom took background characters and gave them lives and stuff, I always love seeing her in fics and seeing how people interpret the like, thirty seconds of canon content we have for her 😭 honestly, she's usually pretty consistent, too, which is awesome.

      I wrote all the dialogue first and then just slapped some description on it 😭 so I'm really glad that worked out well!

      Charles deserves all the hugs. And yeah, pretty sure Edie's got like a ton of "kids" who she just regularly meets for lunch and stuff (hey, maybe that's like the rest of the first class kids... I could so see her hanging out with like Alex and Darwin or Angel or any of them). Erik is not phased atp 😂 I'm glad he came across as like, an actual character in this, considering I barely gave him anything!

      That may have been my favorite bit to write ((: as soon as I did the "i've adopted him" and the first "welcome to the family" I just KNEW I had to tack a little something onto the end with a callback to that. And a big happy gay wedding is always a fun ending 😂

      dragneto is an integral part of this fandom and she must always make appearances whenever possible. Erik in drag? chance taken 😂😂
