the axons are so interesting in that they're Renoir's concept of how his family is and I am obsessed with Verso's characterization here because it feels so true with what we know and what we can gleam from canon and what the painted version of Verso does and doesn't do. this made me want to play through Visages again and I'll be thinking about this endlessly 10/10 would absolutely reread again
