Well, at least in the anime, it wasn't specified exactly what the topic they talked about on that occasion was, other than implying that it was about Emilia's past (Fortuna, Geuse, Elf village and etc.) and I also don't remember them talking about Subaru's parents specifically on another occasion (on screen), but of course this is only as far as I remember and I could be wrong, but I preferred to write based on this. No worries, I believe it was LN only content, and even then it wasn't a conversation in the novels but mentioned off-hand iirc.

I'm curious as to the time displacement... it's going to be hilarious if Subaru, from his parents' perspective, went out a NEET for snacks & came back a well-respected figure with many friends, (basically) 2 girls in love with him, and his more or less adopted little sister Beako.
