^ so many good HC’s here that i’ve never considered, everyone feels really in character, phoenix’s savior complex (?) re: trucy was so fitting, but he is also so empathetic and father….
when he said he loves being trucy’s daddy i teared up. and also interesting backstory idea for phoenix!! im rotating it in my mind it honestly makes a lot of sense canonically + characterization wise lol
I would have given anything if the games let Phoenix be a father more when he became a playable character again too. They really did everything in their power to not let those two have much time together. TT_TT
In the meantime, we have fanfic to cover both that and the seven year gap. I'm super happy you enjoyed my take on some of it. Phoenix wanting to do his best for Trucy, both in the sense of the mysteries of her blood related family and just for raising a little girl on his own, makes me happy.
