He showed no emotion other than tension in his jaw and a frown line between his brows, but Sakura knew, in the marrow of her bones, that he was deeply affected by what he'd done."
Non-massacre AU. After a tragic death leaves her reeling, Sakura is forced to play a dangerous game in order to survive. She embarks on a long mission to take down a critical player in a cold war between the Uchiha and the Senju. But before they can kill the objective, an unexpected ally presents himself, changing everything.
