Summary
Retirement is not a bad thing, Morrison thinks. No more dingy motels, no more fighting the clients for payment, and, most importantly, no more clawing, biting, screeching demons in his closest proximity.
All that's standing between him and the sweet, sweet life of smoking cigars by the fireplace is one, last job, and a certain suspicious, white-haired kid.
No big deal, right?
---
Or, the one in which Morrison just wants to have some goddamn peace for once in his lifetime, and the universe is hellbent on not letting it happen.
Technically a prequel to 'Nesting Birds', but stands entirely on its own.

Summary
Dante's fine. He's not exactly in position not to be fine, because, hey, between his literally damned father, dismembered-chewed-up-and-scorched mother and brainwashed, now-finally-one-hundred-percent-dead twin, he's basically the lucky child of his family, so he's peachy. Maybe he should drink a little bit less, sure, and he might be talking to himself a little too much, but other than that, he's golden. He's fine. There are literally no family tragedies that could ever threaten him anymore, which is cool, because, come on, it's been getting a little old.
Unless, of course, there's some freaky island, inhabited by even freakier cultists, who happen to currently be in possession of his surprise nephew, but what are the chances of that ever happening?
---
Or, the one in which Dante's totally, absolutely, perfectly freaking fine, thanks to which Nero's definition of 'fine' will forever remain critically skewed, Lady's trying her best to be the responsible adult, and Trish is just hanging out in the audience with a glass of wine.
Can be read as a stand-alone.

Summary
Nero might not be the most well-bred person out there (he's been living with Dante his whole life, so, duh), but he's smart enough to know when he's overstayed his welcome. In other words, if Dante wants him out of the shop, then fine, Nero will get himself out.
It's not like he cares, anyway.
---
Or, the one in which Dante's got some sick parenting skills, Nero's had more than enough of his shit, and Patty stole their only brain cell for safekeeping, while Trish and Lady watch them all go from the sideline, with a full bucket of popcorn.

Summary
If there's one thing about having close to no relatives at all that Nero really doesn't mind, it's the complete lack of family drama. You just can't have skeletons in the closet without any bodies to put in said closet in the first place, right?
"Yeah, right," said, God, probably. "Sure."
---
In other words, Dante's still going for that 'Father of the Year' prize mug, Nero's life keeps speeding down the rabbit hole, Lady might finally be in for a date, that won't involve ruining her clothes with various amounts of demonic body fluids, Trish is the only person with a vague idea of what's going on, while Credo and Kyrie have absolutely no idea what they got themselves into, and Patty's just sitting in the corner, trying to get a role in a school play and some decent grades in maths.
Part two to 'Nesting Birds', but can be read as a stand-alone.
