Summary
Fox was brought in for interrogation pertaining to his actions under the command of Chancellor Palpatine. It was clear-cut, official. Until Fox claimed that he had nothing to say on the matter; good soldiers follow orders. No amount of discussion or mental probing seemed able to break down his barriers.
The Jedi offered a solution; a artifact that had been used for centuries to gently let down an individual's guard, humanely and without having to resort to any more drastic measures.
There's an unexpected side-effect.
