Jon Snow awakens on a highway outside Atlanta, Georgia with only faint fleeting memories of his last day on the wall. Our totally alien world shocks him to his core but he's given a beacon of guidance through it when he spots a man on a horse approaching him. Together Rick Grimes and Jon Snow will set out, looking for Rick's lost family and Jon's lost land. After all, The Wall needs its Lord Commander.

His memories of his death have returned and our alien world is beginning to make a bit of sense. Ever since the loss of the CDC, surviving in the apocalypse has been a daily struggle. The group is on thin ice. Supplies are dwindling. Hope is fading. The dead are walking. And their only chance for life may be a run-down farm, an old man and his daughters.

Summary
It's been nearly three months since Jon Snow awoke on a highway outside of Atlanta and joined Rick Grimes and his fellow survivors. He did his best to try and shield them from the harsh reality of their new world, but the truth has caught up with them. After the betrayal of the Culvers, Jon and the others are left without sanctuary and once again forced to scavenge in order to survive. However, a prison overrun with the dead provides a beacon of hope for a better future.
Meanwhile, Sandor Clegane awakens in the midst of a hoard. In his blind panic to fight his way to safety, he teams up with a recently abandoned Merle Dixon, and - with no other alternatives - forms a tense alliance with the revenge-bent man.
