He knows it shouldn't really bother him so much, that he should be happy and content with having Bucky back in his life. He is, he very much is, he finally feels whole since he woke up in that fake 1940s room. And while they're not back together, this is enough for him. It is. He's so happy he has his heart back, he is. Bucky is settling and recovering, he's laughing more now and that smile that has always made Steve flustered is back.
(Or Steve misses pet names, Bucky did a dumb, and there's definitely a smutty chap. 2.)
