Lifting her head from the table, and expertly ignoring the way her worksheet fluttered back down onto the wood from her hairline, Clarke opened her mouth with the utmost intention of letting Lexa know she was perfectly fine in this class, thank you very much. But her eyes betrayed her and seemed to focus solely on the way Lexa was smiling at her, teasing her, joking with her like they were friends and all words suddenly became a distant memory.

Summary
She stands and walks to where Finn has his arm around the girls shoulders and she smiles at Lincoln as he moves past her gently to greet the rest of the room. The girl is looking at her in amusement and Clarke figures she should break the silence first since Finn has taken to giggling at his feet. "With the way Finn introduced us I have a feeling we're supposed to know one another but I'm sorry, I don't think I know you at all," Clarke starts with a soft smile and she extends her hand, ignoring how she's emphasized the word 'boyfriend' in a way she never has before. "I'm Clarke Griffin."
"I know who you are," the girl replies and her voice is hard to hear over the music but it's enough for Clarke to know that it's just as pretty as she is. She takes her hand and Clarke jumps slightly, the contact surprising her. "My cousin won't stop talking about you at family dinners."
"Cousin?"

“I’ve never been before,” Clarke admits and it’s an almost out of body experience that makes her sit down on the seat opposite this intriguing woman; a woman who, in truth, hasn’t said more than thirty words to her. And yet. “Definitely not work, but I’m not on this train with the sole intention of seeking pleasure either.”
The woman, dark and mysterious and with a hint of danger, pouts. “Shame.”

Summary
Her best friend is beautiful and Clarke kind of loses her mind at how lucky she is to have Lexa and that she looks like that. Because now people look at Lexa like Clarke always has. It makes her puff up in pride because Lexa only ever pays attention to Clarke and, even if she’s cooler and edgier, she still kisses Clarke’s cheek and that’s all that matters.
