Summary
Finally in a place where he can pamper a pet, Finn adopts a human hybrid named Cameron with cute puppy dog ears and a fluffy tail. Cameron settles in nicely to his first week with this handsome stranger, suffering surprisingly few indignities at his hands.
Unfortunately for Cameron, Finn is only waiting for his first vet appointment, which will be invasive, humiliating, and painful. He’ll then introduce his new pet fully into his world, including intense training sessions, some rather harsh but loving punishments, and even meeting new friends.

Summary
Finn’s experience with his first pet, Cameron, makes him confident that the second go-around will be just as easy. Penelope is gorgeous, with sweet floppy ears, but what catches Finn’s attention—and Cameron’s—are her sad, sunken eyes.
Neither of them know it yet, but this dog/human hybrid is about to give Finn a run for his money. From her obvious trauma to her catlike tendencies, he isn’t sure if he’s equipped to break down her walls. And as she begins emerging from her shell, he realizes that having a second pup isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Especially when Cameron decides that he might not like her, after all.
Can the three overcome Penelope’s stubbornness, Cameron’s jealousy, and Finn’s lack of expertise? Or is Penelope too much for the boys to handle?
(Though they’re called puppies, all characters are 25 years or older!)

With the help of an advent calendar for naughty hybrids, they'll spend the 12 days leading up to Christmas working on discipline so that when the day comes, Porter and Ruby are on their best behavior.
