Summary
Seokjin had always thought that he would visit the palace as a distinguished guest. In his dreams, he imagined his arrival escorted by a line of servants, who would dress him in the finest silks.
He never expected the gold to be what would declare him guilty and throw him at the foot of the throne, where he fell with a loud thud and hurt himself by landing knee-first.
-"This man will serve in my palace," declared the mad king, Min Yoongi, tossing the pendant to a waiting attendant. "He has a taste for gold, does he not? Then let him be surrounded by it, but never possess a single piece of it."
Seokjin’s eyes widened. What kind of punishment was this?
–You will work for me, fisherman. As my attendant, my servant.– The king leaned in, voice a whisper only for him. –Let’s see if your spirit breaks under my watch.
And just like that, Seokjin’s fate was sealed, not by death, but by the golden chains of a king's amusement.

Summary
When the palace burned and King Min vanished into the flames, Seokjin, his former consort and father of the heirs, was left with nothing but ashes, rumors, and a wound that wouldn't heal. For months, he's wandered like a shadow, losing all sense of time, haunted by dreams where the king still lives... until he finds an omega in a remote village who seems ripped straight from those very dreams.
He looks like Yoongi. His face is Yoongi's. He cradles two infants who could be his. But his scent is wrong, he claims not to be him, and there's a fresh claiming bite on the omega's neck. From another alpha. One that isn't Seokjin.
As obsession and doubt intertwine, Seokjin spirals into instinct and hallucination, where the line between reality and hope begins to blur. Is he mad? Is he being deceived? Or has he found, in some forgotten corner of the kingdom, the king everyone believed dead?
