Like usual Harry Potter can't have one normal year. A month before his seventeenth birthday Harry gets kidnapped and finds himself facing an impossible challenge. How will he handle a new identity, conflicting stories, and incidents that test allegiance? Can he learn to trust again, can he learn to rely on family, or will he try to handle everything on his own? And what is Dumbledore really up to?

This is a reimagining of Harry Potter in which the series deviates from canon around Harry's fifth year, with other specific changes that are revealed as you read.
Romances; Are a mix of slowburn or love-at-first-sight, depending on the pre-established relationships (i.e friend, past lover, enemy). There are spicy scenes; most will be structured so that you can skip them with rare exception.
Characters; Some characters are altered to better fit the narrative (i.e the Edward Tonks being a muggle instead of muggleborn) There are also quite a few original characters, partially due to geneology, partially due to my expansion of both the light and dark sides.
