When Susie moves to Hometown, she worries this place will be no different than any other. But a certain Darkner can sense the strange power of this place, and finds a Prophecy he thinks he can adapt for a different ending.
Meanwhile Kris and the Knight find out about the REAL Prophecy, and decide to do what they can to prevent it as well.
But one must do something big to prevent the ever-present force of fate. And sacrifices have to be made.

At the whims of the SOUL Kris goes through a seemingly endless amount of resets, entirely trapped to fit the narrative the SOUL thinks is right. Anyone else would lose hope and give up entirely. But when has Kris ever been like anybody else?
And when the SOUL realizes that Kris will never be the proper vessel it had been hoping for, the SOUL has to move on to a new body, while Kris must find a way to get her original SOUL back in time.
