Summary
After sixty-two hours of non-stop work, all Chuuya wants is his bed. What he gets is his traitorous ex-partner curled up on his expensive suede sofa, delirious, shivering, and bleeding out from a wound that smells like rot. Dazai is hiding—from the Agency, from the Mafia, and from a new enemy that poisoned him with something No Longer Human can't nullify.
With all of Yokohama compromised, Dazai decided his only safehouse left was the one place no one would ever look: the penthouse of the man who hates him most. Chuuya is faced with a choice: throw the bastard out, or deal with the glowing, necrotic wound.

Summary
For a decade, "Double Black" was the only identity the world allowed them to have—until the Archive was purged, the Port Mafia fractured, and the city of Yokohama became a cage.
Fleeing under the names of the dead, Shuji Tsushima and Ryo vanish into the frozen silence of the north. In a house built on ancestral trauma and guarded by the Sea of Japan, the two legendary killers must face an enemy they cannot crush: domesticity.
As they trade tactical reports for grocery lists and battle scars for the warmth of a shared kotatsu, the "farce" of their marriage begins to buckle under the weight of genuine tenderness. In the restoration of a rotting estate, they find a much more dangerous project.
They must decide if two people designed for ruin can truly survive the terrifying intimacy of a home.Excerpt:
Chuuya stared at the top of the dark head bowed in concentration, his heart thudding a frantic, confused rhythm. It was supposed to be a cover. A strategy to fool the town. But as the 'Demon Prodigy' pressed a soft, lingering kiss to his scarred hand, Chuuya realized the blueprint was changing. The lie was starting to feel like the only truth he had left.
