    Summary

Locked away at the Rocky Mountain Federal Penitentiary, failed clown, frustrated aerialist, semi-thwarted terrorist/thief and successful organ donor, Punchinello Beezo believes that, if nothing else, his incarceration has kept him safely away from the Flying Vivacementes and their hope of avenging their patriarch, Punchinello's own father, that spawn of a witch's toilet, himself, Virgilio Vivacemente's, death.

However, when Punch smells a rat, or rats soon approaching, he must turn to the one person in the whole world whom might feel indebted to help him: Annie Tock, the niece he gave a kidney to in exchange for Virgilio's murder.

Suddenly, on the lam and on the run from both the police and the Flying Vivacementes, Punchinello and Annie have to find a way to get along as they stay both alive and free, all while keeping Annie's involvement in the whole affair a secret from her father, the baker Jimmy Tock, lest he have another horrible day added to the preexisting five, one that was never predicted nor had he ever seen coming.

It's might as well die if we can't fly time for both an insane uncle and his wayward niece in this unofficial sequel to Dean Koontz's "Life Expectancy".
