      Mistagged - this is actually a spirk fic, kind of spirk with tragic mckirk. Kirk's an asshole in this, but it's perfect for when you want to indulge in crying about McCoy. Does have irrepressible Spock caring for McCoy, and McCoy caring for Spock, in the way that is just their own - knowing each other down to the bone while pretending they're so apart. Enjoy this backstory that explains a lot about their dynamics here - the Body having used the Heart in the past without a Head to keep it straight..the way they try to have a relationship between just the Head and the Body - what we all want and value right, we'd be so much better without our pesky feelings surely - and how it causes the Heart to atrophy..How the Head knows that would kill them, how the Heart fears being allowed to be let loose to go where it pleases - won't that upset the Head?
