Summary
There's a forest just beyond the land belonging to the Dessendre family, said to be inhabited by a terrible beast. And while Alicia of course feared this creature, she spent far more time worrying about how to conceal her undying infatuation with her older brother, Verso.
Now, Verso is gone, slain by the beast, and Alicia sees no reason to continue her wretched existence without him. But as she tries to follow in his footsteps and reunite with her beloved brother in the next life, fate has something vastly different for her in mind.

Summary
While scouting a new area, Maelle and Verso have an unexpected encounter with a new Nevron that goes wrong when Verso takes a blow meant for Maelle. Fleeing to the nearest point of safety, an abandoned Expeditioner camp, what begins as fever quickly becomes something far more dangerous. Trapped together on the cliffside as the valley below pulses with life, restraint frays and buried desires surface.
