“I can’t let you pay for everything and…” Akk says quietly but he gets stuck. He clenches his trembling hands into fists and tries to take deep breaths to calm himself down.
“And what?” Aye frowns. “We’ve talked about this a hundred times already, Akk!” Ayan steps closer to Akk and grabs his hands.
“You two are my family, of course I will give you everything I can. My job pays really well so I can take care of the bills and food, and you can buy smaller things for Fah.” Ayan places his right hand on Akk’s cheek, gently caressing the soft, pale skin. His touch is tender – always is – but his words and voice are powerful.
“What’s mine is yours too, Akk.”
Or Akk wanted to make his family happy - but things didn't turn out the way he'd planned.
