Tim, still in his Robin costume, turns from the Batcomputer to Jason. “If you're going to lie, lie like you mean it. Otherwise don’t bother.”
Bruce had made him believe a ridiculous story from the future for his 16th birthday. Jason can be more convincing than this. It's an insult to Tim’s intelligence really.
“I’m not lying.”
OR
A morally grey Tim gets caught in a murder and Batman is going to apprehend him but a darker Batman from another dimension happens upon them and takes Tim with him.

It was an odd thing to say, but still, it cut her to the bone. He'd said it like he hadn't seen her in years, not just since last night at bedtime. "You, too," she offered, tightening her grip on her knees. "Do you know what happened?"
Louis licked his lips. "I think I was hunting frogs." His accent slipped into groove on hunting, no G, all Louis. It did not relieve her. "Then—" he stopped. Looked up at the ceiling. Claudia pulled a loosed thread from the hem of her skirt, wondering if he'd ever talk again. "You ever felt like you slipped outta your skin?"
