Summary
After Sentinel’s defeat and Megatron’s exile, Optimus Prime finds himself burdened with the leadership of Iacon and the protection of the entire city. The days of simplicity as Orion Pax now seem like a distant memory, almost impossible to reach.
One day, out of obligation, he takes a brief respite on the surface, and a bright light streaks across the sky, awakening in him a curiosity he thought long gone—a curiosity for the unknown. Driven by a desire to relive the sensation of freedom and the past, he decides to follow it. But what begins as a small, almost childlike adventure soon turns into a real danger, one deeply personal.
Will Optimus be able to let go of the past without losing himself, or will nostalgia trap him in a cycle of memories and regrets?
Orion doesn’t have much to defend himself with in that regard.
Summary: Optimus sees something shiny in the sky, thinks, “Yep, this is a great idea,” and decides to chase it… because what could possibly go wrong?
