    Summary

Using marble and paint, she created things of extraordinary beauty. Sculptures and sketches came alive beneath her hands.

Her skill however, came at a cost. Unable to establish herself under her true name, she uses another to display and sign her work. Work that soon stands proud in the houses of America's wealthy. Tradesmen and noble alike. Men like Mr.Carter Cushing, whose daughter Edith, is an aspiring author.

Her work soon captured the attention of nobles from abroad, siblings Sir Thomas and Lady Lucille Sharpe. However, they remain in the dark as to the work's true creator.

Hidden in the shadow of her working-class roots, she sees him and is inspired to create her greatest work yet. One she will sign with her true name. A thing of tragic beauty as her heart is slowly drawn to him, only to watch him court another. As her heart begins to crack, she fails to see what is right before her. That she did not go as unnoticed, or as unloved as she first thought.
