The city sure knew how to make itself seem like it didn’t deserve to be saved, biting the hand that helped it out countless times.
Robert’d help them anyway, of course, just like his grandfather did, just like his dad did. But also, to be a bit petty, he was fourteen, and he could prove that they shouldn't bite the hand that helped them, even if the hand had gone a little cold, so he was gonna prove it.

I feel like Mecha Man Astral's death was 100% crapped on, knowing how people are, it's not out of the question, and I wanted Robert to be a bit more petty since yeah he enjoyed being a hero, but he wasn't really into the family legacy side.
Author needs to stop getting cold feet about posting because he can 100% take it down later.
