Summary
Following the destruction of Starkiller base, General Hux finds himself alongside Kylo Ren, much to his dismay. Hux expects to willfully suffer through till Kylo is called back to Snoke's side, so when Ren is permitted to stay onboard the Finalizer, both are forced to accept that neither is going anywhere.
With the resistance growing desperate, they must put personal conflict aside and deal with the growing threats within and without. The rebels are determined, but Hux and Kylo are both prepared to sacrifice whatever necessary, for their own sakes, that of the First Order, and maybe even each other.

Of course, when he was lying in a culvert in the middle of the cold October night naked from the waist down and bleeding from his broken nose, it didn’t seem fair at all. But would two thousand have? Or two billion? Whether you could put a price tag on pain and terror was not something that Hux had ever considered before, and once he had, he thought not.

Summary
Kylo was here on this particular fundraising expedition because he’d had a vision months ago: negotiations gone wrong, Hux captured and then killed, the First Order scattered into factions. Kylo’s destiny torn away from his grasp with the murder of his General. His. Kylo was far past the point of considering Hux his property before he was aware that he’d begun to, and by then there was no going back. So here they were, together. Hux scrounging up credits for his military and Kylo jealously guarding all that belonged to him.
