Summary
Wren had already been nervous when the Hole Dwellers pulled him aside from his group. He was one of the last greens, and he was alone. His only ally, Marshi, was currently missing. He had been drifting between groups, hesitantly choosing to lurk around Olive, or follow Gri around. He was unstable. He felt vulnerable and he felt distrust and fear build in his chest anytime a red life moved even slightly too quickly.
He unfroze, turning his gaze from the cobblestone bridge hovering across the sky to Kay. She had been ushering the rest of her team to move. He hadn’t noticed her turn back to him and quickly move behind him and urging him forward.
“ Hey, Wren, hey buddy, let’s go. “ She said, eyeing the skynet with a seemingly critical eye. Not that Wren would be able to tell, he was much more focused on listening. There were a few calls from the Hole Dwellers about going home as he quickly weaved behind the Moon statue and climbed onto some of the rocks. There was a lot of chatter, and Wren couldn’t make a single word out from anyone. So, he watched. He waited.
Or: A brief retelling of Wren and the Hole Dwellers' only interaction that led to him being alone.
