  I'm an English (I consider myself British, but I'm not Irish, you see) writer who has been a fan of Skulduggery Pleasant since Tom Percival's gorgeous artwork caught my eye, glinting at me on the hardcopy cover of the first SP book's release in a WHSmith in a train station. I bought it, devoured it during a three hour train journey, and have loved the series ever since. If I wasn't a mortal, I would almost certainly choose Elemental magic.
