Summary
There is nothing else he can think about after what Will said. He wants to think about anything but Will; he wants to think about how close they are to death, but his mind is in one place. The plan isn’t exactly guaranteed to succeed; in fact, Mike thinks it’s not nearly enough. He’s not sure anyone will survive this. And with the little time he has left, he’d be a fool to ignore the feelings that have been eating at him for years.
They are hours away from either saving the world or having it all shatter in front of them. He feels like he has everything to lose by being honest with himself, but does that really matter if he’s this close to losing it anyway?
