Summary
Winter in Indiana is a shithole. Especially for a bum who predominantly lives out of his car and precures most of his clothes from dumps. But Stanley can't complain too much, this is the first time in a while that he'd had an actual steady income for once, working in a dollar store Rico had bought - Yes, it was a front for smuggling drugs across boarders but no-one needs to know that! and according to Rico, Stan looked "Exhausted and Pathetic enough to seem inconspicuous to police" if they ever checked in, so it's nice to know his skillls are being put to good use.
College in Indiana is a shithole. The dorms are freezing, and with a winter like this, it was hard to want to do anything other than hide under your bedsheets and shiver. It was Fiddleford's turn to go and get some handwarmers, if they have any hope for surviving the cold lecture halls. There had been a long enough break in the snowfall for Fiddleford to trust the weather not to turn on him too drastically, so he decides to set out.
