In which Absolutely none of it goes according to plan, and more or less Kakashi becomes Itachi’s caretaker due to suddenly advancing illness that causes his partner to abandon him quite literally on the teams doorstep. Summary
Itachi was a gamma, sorta, the pills he was taking to hold back death's hands were what stopped any omega-ness from showing. With death looming over his head anyway why bother getting a refill? He was meant to die. This was what he wanted. Life had a funny way of laughing in his face.
After years of losing hope to ever find that scent that called to him, Kakashi had given up. But now he found them! Only... he didn't expect the "in sickness and in health" to be tested so soon. And what is all this that his new mate is hiding... something just doesn't smell right and it's not him.
