    Katsuki swears he can hear himself flatlining.
    He's vaguely aware he can still hear Deku talking, that dumbass, but his brain isn't registering any of the content.
    "'Those pills people talk about.'"
    Suddenly, the nerd's urgent messages, his awkward shifting, his flushed face, and his blown pupils all make too much goddamn sense.
    "Yeah. The, you know, blue–"
    "Deku. Where did you even get something like that?"
