Christmas the year prior was the last time the MC Bat Commander had brushed his hands along that familiar yellowing wallpaper as he slowly slumped with the weight of procrastination down the dimly-lit hallway. Side-stepping away from the long-neglected wall, the Commander rubbed the grime which had started to coat his fingers in an attempt to stall his encounter with one of life’s many cruelties.

Summary
It wasn’t that Eaglebones didn’t enjoy today’s concert; he really did. But he would’ve really liked a moment to relax in his bunk before charging out into the night to fight a machiavellian foe. Really, the birdman just needed to rest; that was all.
AKA - Author is grumpy and tired at 2AM because of their painful joints and takes it out on poor Eaglebones.
