    “I bet,” Hob starts speaking, and he just knows he’s going to say something he might regret later, “that you’d find my food appealing. I’ve had so much time to perfect my recipes.”

    “Really?” Dream’s got that glint in his eyes. He sits up, drawing his feet back and leaning in.

    “Yes. One of these times I’ll invite you over, and I’ll cook for you,” Hob promises.

    “Alright, Hob,” Dream says.

    “Deal? Damn, I’ll have to clean my place for you,” Hob laughs.

    Death sets up her emotionally constipated brother and a peasant from the middle ages. Dream doesn’t care for peasants. Hob’s enjoying the benefits of immortality. Neither of them realize just how much they’ve been in each other’s lives. A slow-burn for the ages, featuring twink himbo Dream and a surprisingly emotionally mature Hob Gadling. Be forewarned: both of them are stupid--and in love.
