    They will die buried deep inside of him. Secrets are meant to fucking die, and God damn it, they will. There were things he never told anyone. Never will. Like boxes strewn into attics that have been closed for decades, forgotten about, and abandoned.

    Monsters weren’t a new thing - not in this society. After all, villains committed crimes all the time; on TV; in movies; especially in real life. The heroes always won and saved everyone, but no one talks about the monsters who lurk in the dark. In the abyss. Waiting patiently through the guise of herodom – waiting for the perfect moment to grab and take a hold of their fantasies. No one talks about how monsters are everywhere and how they could just be anyone. Monsters are real. They live in people. The scariest monsters are just real regular people who can get away with doing whatever they want.

    No one talks about what happens when the heroes aren’t there.

    Katsuki has PTSD and Izuku just wants to be there with him. It turns into a (nontraditional) slowburn full of angst, hurt, and comfort - a story about devastation, hope, love, and recovery.
