Heat flushed through his body, eyes widening slightly and lips parting with a soft gasp. “I’ve been fantasizing about sinking my fangs into your pretty little neck this entire time in the Underdark. It only got worse when we got here, the heat was clouding my head, my thoughts. All I could see and hear was your blood. I left to get some air and space but of course, you had to follow me.” Those fingers brushed along his jaw, moving to sweep a few strands of hair behind his ear. For once, Astarian’s words weren’t dripping in honey but something darker, something insatiable. Something that made Kassius’s heart pound. “You don’t know when to leave things alone.”
