Summary
(A Queen Draped In Fury, Rewrite)
Viserys I Targaryen, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm, had broken tradition when he named his daughter, Princess Rhaenyra, Princess of Dragonstone and Heiress to the Iron Throne. This would all change, however, when he sired a son, Prince Aegon Targaryen, on Alicent Hightower, thereby securing his dynasty.
Disinheriting his daughter and banishing her to Dragonstone, Viserys hopes to show his daughter than he will not bend and that the line of succession has and always will be male primogeniture - for a son will always come before a daughter. Not willing to back down, Rhaenyra takes to ruling Dragonstone like a Dragon takes to flight.
As decades pass and Viserys dies, King Aegon II Targaryen ascends the Iron Throne, and demands his estranged half-sister and her descendants to swear obscene to him. When she refuses, Aegon threatens war and death on the Black Princess, thereby beginning the civil war known as The Dance of the Dragons.
Can Westeros survive a war between a disinherited Queen and a monstrous King? Only time will tell.
