Summary
After Dr. Robotnik's untimely death on the eclipse cannon, Agent Stone is left with a hollow in his chest. He falls into a deep depressive cycle of searching for his beloved doctor while slowly rising to the top of the global crime food chain.
Aban Stone never meant to become the world's most powerful mastermind, he really didn't. It just happened along the way.
This is mostly my rambling ideas about Stone coping with loss in bad ways. This will be edited and added to actively.

Summary
Agent Stone makes a mistake: he chooses Dr. Robotnik over his mission and puts countless G.U.N agents at risk as a result. Before he's even fully recovered, Stone is taken by Commander Walters for "emergency training", much to Robotnik's chagrin.
What returns to Ivo a few months later is far from the loyal, adoring, ever obedient Aban Stone that saved his life.
