    Summary

The man in black seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, with an almost lethal wound and the most powerful healing ability she had ever seen. Granted, considering her total lack of memory, she hadn't seen all that many, but it was still impressive.

He appeared to be in great pain yet entirely indifferent to his own suffering. He didn't ask for help and declined the one she offered. He went into the worst case of shock she could imagine - to the point of being downright scary! - and then he didn't seem to care about it anymore.

He was very strange, and just as beautiful. That was an undeniable fact.

While in Belobog on a side mission for the Stellaron Hunters, Blade stumbles upon a quirky young woman in an alley. An unimportant event under most circumstances, something to be left behind and forgotten. A first encounter that wasn't supposed to happen.

But it did. And because of it, a new "script" begins to unravel.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Absolutely a work of magic. The events of the game's story are relayed in a fairly even manner and even have some prominent timeskips. The story isn't draggy at all but is a slow, slow burn. Yet, we as the readers are constantly clued in to Stelle and Blade's feelings and innermost thoughts so it NEVER feels like it's rushed at all. In fact, the descriptions are so intricately crafted and conveyed that we are put into Blade/Stelle's shoes, feeling as they feel. WE are experiencing it with them in "real" life. It feels natural and the pain is as deep for you as it is for them.

Blade's portrayal is perfect in this fic. He's not just some insane, bloodthirsty motherfucker who kills for fun, or even because he necessarily wants to. He's extremely complex and seeing him slowly warm up to Stelle's light is so.dfdfsjdfsgdhkds im going to die from feels (stelle is his north star, lighting up the night for him im going to cry)

If somebody gave this story to me and told me that the author wasn't a native english speaker, I would tell them not to lie. I cannot describe the emotions that each chapter draws out of me.

I have never come across a written fan work that has had this strong of a vice on my heart. I stayed up till 8:30 in the morning, binging this fic and didn't regret it. It's a painful, angsty story, but it HURTS SO GOOD. I love angst, and this fic is seeping with it. But that only serves to make the soft-hearted, tender moments that much more enchanting.
in conclusion i fucking love this fic holy fuck, I'm going to come out of my month long art drought just to draw something for this fic TuT
