During a mission, Dante saves a boy being carried away by demons. But when he looks at the child—trembling, in pajamas, with tears in his eyes—the hunter freezes.

Vergil?But that was impossible. Vergil was dead—killed by Dante's own hands.
Confused, Dante realizes something is wrong. He had overcome the riddle and crossed the portal to Hell… but he awoke in a forest. In the distance, a mansion in flames. The air thick with sulfur and blood. Demons lurk. But also—something else.
Family.
His demonic instinct roars. There is a threatening presence. A child too similar to his brother, yet at the same time…different.
